LORRIE WINSLOW

Executive Director

lorrie@lincoln-home.org
207-563-3350, ext. 11

Lorrie has been at the helm for over 3 years. She spoke of how welcoming and supportive everyone was when she came on board, setting her up to succeed. Many of the LH team, when sharing what they loved about their jobs, cited Lorrie’s energy, enthusiasm and supportive management style. “ My leadership style is inclusive... I make decisions by collaborating with the leadership team and the Board of Directors. At The Lincoln Home, it is more about the heart than anything else. You have to love what you do, love the residents, and love the people on your team. I think of it as being a servant leader...it’s important to give back to the community we are embedded in and give back to our employees in any way we can. The real heart beat of LH is the team on the floor, all those serving our residents each day. I love that everyone is so invested. I believe in empowering people to do their jobs well and make good decisions. Many of our staff have been here a long time, and it just gets bigger and better when new people join us. I have worked in places that have a heart, but not in the way LH operates. They serve from the heart all the time...the staff, the Board...we are part of this community and part of the people who live here. I want LH to operate as smoothly as it does with or without me here. I have a strong commitment to doing the right thing to ensure LH is sustainable in to the future, maximizing and building on what we have, being fiscally responsible, honoring our history and our place in the community.” Our LH team is lucky to have you, Lorrie, thank you for all you do each and every day.

JAMIE BARIBEAU

Culinary Director

Jamie’s wealth of experience, passion for utilizing locally sourced food to provide creative cuisine, and his affection for seniors, makes him a great fit for our family. Jamie’s philosophy, “Food is Medicine,” informs every item on our menu, limiting processed foods, sugar, sodium and fats. Healthy, vitamin rich foods make residents feel better and have more energy. A nutritious diet can favorably alter the course of health and disease, enhance the quality of life and even reduce or eliminate the need for some medications. We are committed to utilizing locally sourced vegetables, grass fed and pasture raised meats, and seafood that is harvested along the coast from Maine to Massachusetts. Jamie relies on the creativity and input of the entire Culinary team, who share a love of food and dedication to our residents’ health and happiness. Brought up by his mother, a Dietician, a Grandmother born in Greece, and two aunts, all highly skilled in the kitchen, sourcing from their own gardens, helped instill his life long love of good food. We are happy he has joined our team and is part of our Lincoln Home family.

Working in many different settings has given me the opportunity to experience many different sides of health care. Working in assisted living/memory care at The Lincoln Home has made me realize just how precious our aging community is and what a privilege it is to be a part of it all. The view is breath taking every day....you can’t beat it. The atmosphere here is not like any where I have ever worked before. It feels like my extended family - just so great.” Thank you, Jane! We are their world. I spend more time with them than my own family, and they feel like family to me. They make me feel so appreciative of little things I used to take for granted.  I love the genuine care given here by the staff.
